Farther north and east of Greater Grand Forks, the weather was more severe. High winds and a possible tornado struck in Roseau County, Minnesota, resulting in damage to some structures, according to early reports.

The storm appears to have broken the hot spell that had gripped in the region. The forecast for Grand Forks Friday through Sunday calls for temperatures in the low- to mid-70s.
