Woman faces additional charges after attempting to bring drugs into Chester County Prison - Daily Local News

WEST CHESTER—A Chester County woman facing minor criminal charges is now facing additional charges after attempting to bring drugs into Chester County Prison.

On Feb. 2, 2021, before transporting Lindsey Vonhacht to Chester County Prison on charges of Access Device Fraud and related offenses, officers told her she needed to make them aware if she had any drugs or drug paraphernalia on her before transport or she would have added charges.

Once on location, Chester County Prison staff searched Vonhacht and recovered a clear plastic baggie containing foil stamped with “ZR ONLY” which contained a powdery substance.  Lab results were received recently, which indicated the presence of a controlled substance. Drug charges were filed against Vonhacht.

Oxford

Simple assault

On Aug. 16, 2021 at 5:42 p.m. the officers were dispatched to the 300 block Nottingham Avenue for a disturbance. The victim reports they were struck in the face by the defendant three days prior on or about Aug. 13, 2021. The officer observed injuries to the victim’s face. Antonio Lea Lowe, 46, of Oxford faces a charge of simple assault.

Warrant

On Aug. 25, 2021 at 3:09 a.m., the OPD arrested 24-year-old, Dante Malik Prigg of Oxford after police were dispatched to the 400 block Hodgson Street for a disturbance. Prigg had an active felony warrant from Blair County. Prigg is currently being held at Chester County Prison awaiting a preliminary hearing on additional assault charges in Chester County.

Kennett Square

Drug charges

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Angela Mangini on Aug. 15, 2021. On Aug. 13, 2021 at 5:16 p.m., officers were dispatched for an unknown EMS call in the 600 Block of West South Street, Kennett Square Borough. Upon making contact with the individual who called, Eduardo Garcia-Villegas, Officers recognized him from a warrant Wilmington Police Department called about earlier in the day. His girlfriend, later identified as Angela Mangini, stated she was only having a seizure, but requested to be transported to the hospital. Officers entered the room and observed blue wax papers and multiple syringes in plain view in the area where Mangini emerged from. Charges were filed .

Warrant

On Aug. 13, 2021 at approximately 5:16 p.m., officers made contact with Eduardo Garcia-Villegas, 22 of Kennett Square, in reference to a warrant issued by Wilmington Police Department. Eduardo Garcia-Villegas was taken into custody for charges of fugitive from justice based on his arrest warrant. When Officers searched Garcia-Villegas, before transport, items suspected to be controlled substances were found on his person. Eduardo Garcia-Villegas was transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison and charges were filed.

Drug charges

On July 13, 2021 at 1:14 p.m., officers were dispatched for a disturbance in the 300 Block of West Cedar Street, Kennett Square Borough. While on location, officers observed three male juveniles on the railroad tracks, where they are not permitted. Upon making contact with the individuals, a strong odor of marijuana was detected. One juvenile presented a clear baggy containing a green, leafy substance, which later tested positive for THC, police said. Two non-traffic citations for trespassing were issued and charges for possession of marijuana and related offenses were filed with Chester County Juvenile Probation.

West Chester

Criminal trespass

On Aug. 27, 2021 at 8:05 a.m., officers responded to Planned Parenthood for a disturbance. As a result of a staged sit-in, Christopher Moscinski, 51, was taken into custody for criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Moscinski refused to leave the premise after being asked to do so several times. Moscinski was transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment. A preliminary hearing is pending.

Assault

On Aug. 25 at  7:30 p.m., the West Chester Police Department was dispatched to report an assault with injuries in the 600 block of Downingtown Pike. Officers found David Lee Griggs bleeding from a laceration on the back of his head. Griggs was transported to the hospital to for treatment. After an investigation, officers determined that the assault occurred in a private residence in the 400 block of North Everhart Avenue. The investigation revealed that David Lee Griggs, a homeless 31-year-old white male from West Chester, started an altercation and assaulted a 51-year-old victim. After Griggs was released from the hospital, he was arrested and transported to Chester County Prison to await a preliminary arraignment.

Westtown-East Goshen

Burglary

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police are investigating an overnight burglary that occurred on Aug. 23  at a residence located on Baywood Road in the Pleasant Grove development of Westtown Township, Chester County. Just before 3:30 a.m. the suspect arrived to the area in a white Ford F-250 pick-up truck with a snow plow attached to the front, which had been stolen from a vehicle dealership in Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County earlier in the night. The suspect gained entry into the residence by accessing a garage door remote left inside the resident’s unlocked vehicle. An orange KTM 250cc dirt bike was stolen from the garage and the suspect is believed to have used the stolen white Ford F-250 to transport the stolen dirt bike out of the area.
