Akron police reported four teens were injured by gunfire during a party early Tuesday in a parking lot on East Exchange Street.
When officers were called to the parking lot just after midnight, they reported there was a large gathering of people present and others running from the scene, police said.

During the party, shots were fired by one or more suspects. Three females, ranging in age from 17 to 18, and a 19-year-old male, reported they had been struck. The four victims thought the sound was fireworks until they realized they had been struck, police said.
The four injured teens were all transported to area hospitals by those who were at the party. None of the injuries were determined to be life threatening, police said.
