Sides managed to agree on an exchange during the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group.
"We are close to fixing the ceasefire mechanism," added Yermak.
It is reported that the issue of the points of the separation of forces and means in Donbas is still open.
Earlier, the Russian envoy in the contact group for Donbas, Boris Gryzlov, said that Ukraine had refused agreements in the field of the exchange of held persons, this would significantly slow down the exchange and release process.
Russia has a stake in the peaceful settlement of the Donbas Conflict as TASS reported citing Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Russia Dmitriy Kozak.
Kozak commented on the statement of the former prime minister of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Aleksandr Borodai that DPR and LPR can become the part of Russia soon:
“It is the opinion only of the authors of these statements. At the state level, such putting the question was never discussed. We still are holding out hope for peaceful political settlement of the conflict. We have a stake in it”.
Moreover, the deputy of the administration of the president noted that the frozen conflict in Donbas is also “not in the interests of Russia”.
