Things get interesting by Sunday as another storm system rounds the bend, this time tracking a little farther south into the Gulf, but close enough that we could see some showers from it by Sunday. Models have been all over the place this week, with some showing a possibility of a brief changeover to sleet or even snow for parts of Louisiana before the precipitation comes to an end Sunday night. While this possibility is not zero, it’s also not the most likely scenario at this time but we’ll continue to monitor the trends of the longer-range models and update the forecast if necessary. One thing for sure is that we’ll be needing those coats well into next week!
