WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI - The leader of a local farming and education nonprofit with locations across Washtenaw County has forged a partnership with Ypsilanti Township to bring community gardens back to his roots.
“I was born and raised out there in Willow Run, and it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, just wanted to bring it back home,” says Takunia “TC” Collins, founder of Willow Run Acres, which is on the verge of inking a deal to bring accessible raised beds, native plants and educational gardens to Appleridge Park, at the corner of East Clark and Ridge roads.
