Chiefs receivers Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman exchanged words on Kansas City's sideline during the second half of Sunday's AFC Championship Game. According to CBS Sports NFL lead field reporter Tracy Wolfson, Hardman was upset over a lack of targets and had expressed those feelings to members of the Chiefs' coaching staff. Hardman also apparently smoothed things over with Hill, who at that point in the game had been targeted nine times to Hardman's three.
Both players scored touchdowns during the first half of Sunday's game while helping the Chiefs take a 21-3 lead. Hill opened the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Hardman's three-yard reception from Mahomes made it an 18-point game with 5:04 left in the first half.
The Chiefs' receiving duo is looking to help Kansas City return to the Super Bowl for a third time. The Chiefs won Super Bowl LVI but came up short against the Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.
