The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported Saturday that there are 963 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 138,625. Philadelphia is reporting an increase of 124 cases.
There are 7,760 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 18 new deaths reported.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 21,346 resident cases of COVID-19, and 4,587 cases among employees, for a total of 25,933 at 945 distinct facilities in 61 counties. Out of our total deaths, 5,238 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. A county breakdown can be found here.
Approximately 9,861 of our total cases are among health care workers.
Two more cases were reported in Carbon County, bringing the total to 429, with 28 deaths.
Lehigh County has 5,272 cases, an increase of 23, with 345 deaths.
Luzerne County has 3,867 cases, an increase of 36 cases. One more death was reported for a total of 189.
Monroe County is reporting four new cases for a total of 1,735. There are 129 deaths.
Northampton has 4,152 cases, an increase of 11. There are 301 deaths.
Schuylkill County has 10 new cases for a total of 1007 cases and 51 deaths.
