Make-A-Wish has all the reason to celebrate.
At the IP Hotel and Casino, the foundation that brings hope to children across the country honored those who help make wishes come true.
Make-A-Wish Mississippi showed appreciation to its donors and volunteers who allow them to grant wishes to children in Mississippi with critical illnesses.
Through last year’s COVID pandemic and active hurricane season, wishes were still granted to children who needed them the most.
The breakfast honored inspiring women who are active in the Women Inspiring Strength and Hope program, volunteers, and donors. Make-A-Wish South Mississippi Director Shellie Moses said, “They have to social distance. They have to isolate, that’s a part of their life once they are diagnosed with a critical illness. So, we were just experiencing just a little bit of what our Wish children and families have had to go through. So, we found it very important for us to have to continue on more so this year than ever before and make sure that wishes were granted.”
Make-A-Wish Mississippi recognized WXXV News 25 for our commitment to transforming the lives of Mississippi Wish Kids, their families, and the community.
