Nobody was injured, police said.
Woodward Avenue in Stowe remained closed at 4 p.m. between Dohrman and Seventh streets due to the shooting, Allegheny County Police spokesman Jim Madalinsky said.
Residents are being told to avoid the area.

Police said the shooting took place just after 2 p.m. in the 700 block of Woodward Avenue.
