On top of its continuing takeout service, Little Italy restaurant Kettner Exchange is putting a new spin on a dinner cruise that employs vehicles from Buzz Buggy, a local company that typically does bar and brewery tours around San Diego.
Launching tonight, the custom tour includes an hour-long cruise along San Diego Bay and Harbor Island and an on-board meal for each guest featuring two of Kettner Exchange chef Brian Redzikowki’s signature pork belly steamed buns plus two cocktails, glasses of wine, or beers.
Available to residents in the 92101, 92103, and 92104 zip codes, the cruise will run every Wednesday and Friday with reservations at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. at 8 p.m. per evening. Transportation ranges from a $210 five-person golf cart to a $250 six-person Tuk Tuk, an electric version of the vehicles that are a popular in Southeast Asia. Parties must book with their own household or with a group of friends/roommates who are in quarantine together. The tour drivers will wear face masks and will arrange for contactless pickup.
