Broncos bring in RT Demar Dotson for visit - DenverBroncos.com

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —The Broncos may be a step closer to adding important depth to the offensive tackle position.

Denver brought in former Buccaneers right tackle Demar Dotson to UCHealth Training Center for a visit on Sunday, the team announced.

Dotson, a 34-year-old player, has appeared in 130 games and started 106 in his 10-year career. The 6-foot-9, 315-pounder started at least 10 games at right tackle for the Buccaneers in each of the last four seasons and started 15 contests in 2019.

The Broncos may need depth at the position after starting tackle Ja'Wuan James opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. Elijah Wilkinson appears poised to start at right tackle, where he started 12 games in 2019.

Dotson played 1,045 snaps in 2019 and allowed five sacks, according to Pro Football Focus. He graded out as the 15th-best run-blocking tackle and 25th-best pass-blocking tackle among players with at least 800 snaps.

Under the NFL and NFLPA's COVID-19 protocols, Dotson would have to undergo both COVID-19 testing and a physical before being able to sign with the Broncos.
