The Texans plan to bring in former New England Patriots cornerback Cyrus Jones for a visit, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
Jones underwent open-heart surgery a year ago and has made a strong recovery and the team wants to evaluate his medical status.
Jones is a former Patriots second-round draft pick who has also played for the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. He had a 70-yard touchdown return for the Ravens in 2018 and has 19 career tackles.
Jones tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the preseason of his second NFL season and was cut a year later.
A Baltimore native, Jones played collegiately at Alabama.
Jones is 5-foot-10, 197 pounds who has run the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds.
