MADISON (WKOW) - A spring storm developing to our west is expected to bring both rain and snow to Wisconsin Sunday into Monday.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Juneau and Adams Counties. Click here for more information on the advisory.
Rain will continue off and on through the evening in southern Wisconsin, with a small break before more precipitation arrives Sunday.
On Easter Sunday morning, the low pressure system will move closer to Wisconsin. There will be occasional showers and widespread sprinkles with fog before heavy rain arrives during the evening hours.
As the system moves east, winds will become very gusty Sunday night into Monday with colder air arriving. This will help with the transition from rain to snow late Sunday night into Monday morning.
Precipitation is expected to end mid to late Monday morning.
Areas north of I-94 could see anything from a dusting to a couple inches of snow. Higher snowfall totals are expected for places northwest of Madison.
It will also be very windy on Monday. Winds could gust anywhere from 40 to 45 mph. Winds will start to noticeably pick up Sunday night.
