Healthcare workers at St. Luke’s Health System will get a healthy treat this week. Local farmers and two local companies worked together to put together boxes of produce for workers across St. Luke’s Health System.
Grasmick Produce, a network of farmers and Sodexo teamed up on the project. Refrigerated trucks full of the boxes started rolling out to facilities on Monday and will continue throughout the week. Employees in Nampa, Elmore County, Meridian, McCall, Hailey, Boise, Twin Falls, Jerome and Eagle will get the fresh boxes.
St Luke’s officials said the project was an effort to say ‘thank you’ to workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The partners will hand out more than 8,350 boxes.
As a way to show gratitude and say thanks for their continued hard work during the #COVID19 pandemic, Grasmick produce & local farmers partnered w/ @StLukesHealth Food Nutrition Services & @sodexoUSA to deliver donated produce boxes to all St. Luke’s employees & providers… pic.twitter.com/2pH9d6dRG0

Each item contains a host of items, including fruit, vegetables, proteins and dairy products. St. Luke’s said any boxes left over will go to local non-profits who help with food insecurity.
Grasmick first launched in Idaho in 1955, owned by local farmers. It remains in the Grasmick family and distributes fresh products across Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and parts of Montana, Wyoming and Nevada. Sodexho is a French conglomerate that provides in-house food services at companies around the world, including St. Luke’s.
