SPOKANE, Wash. — We are tracking thunderstorm activity throughout our Sunday at the 4 News Now First Alert Weather Center. The potential for more storms still exists through the evening.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Spokane, there was a strong storm near Ford and Long Lake before 3 p.m. The NWS office said they received reports of heavy rain and pea-sized hail.
At about 3:15 p.m., heavy rain showers came over the Sprague area. Drivers should use caution. There is minor flooding on the road that could cause hydroplaning.
Just before 4 p.m., NWS Spokane said storms have weakened. However, there is still water on roadways. Please drive carefully!

Tonight, we can expect a chance for thunderstorms across the Inland Northwest. These storms may bring small hail and heavy rainfall, at times. Storms will also bring gusty winds into the evening. Most of the storms we’re tracking are fairly weak. Winds gusts may get up to 25 mph.
Tomorrow, we calm in the forecast. We are expecting drier conditions with partly cloudy skies.
Many spots will the sunshine again. Temperatures will stay warm up by a few degrees into the mid-60s. Though, regionally, we are expecting a breezy Monday. Gusts may get up to 30 mph.
Areas in North Idaho may see patchy fog in the early morning hours. Plan ahead for low visibility levels.
