Denver will remain a tad cooler Tuesday with rain in the forecast. Poor air quality and the threat of flash floods in the mountains remain throughout most of the day, but a drying trend is set to begin later in the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, there is a 60% chance of precipitation on Tuesday with a high of 84 degrees. The sky will be mostly cloudy, with the threat of thunderstorms lasting until midnight. The low will dip to 63 degrees.
West of the Continental Divide is where the biggest flood threat will be. The East Troublesome, Williams Fork, and parts of the Cameron Peak burn areas are at the highest risk of flash flooding and debris flows into the night. Ozone and particulates are in the air, affecting the entire eastern half of the state’s air.
There’s a 40% chance of storms Wednesday with a high of 84 degrees. The partly sunny day will turn into a cool night, with a low of 59 degrees.
A warming and drying trend should begin by Thursday. The chance of afternoon showers will persist. Downtown it will be sunny with a high of 91 degrees and a low of 63 degrees.
